Rules of the House

Game Cancellation
  • Cash games

In the event of disruption where a hand of poker needs to be cancelled each player’s table balance will be returned to the amount they had at the start of the hand. All bets placed will be void.

  • Tournaments

Occasionally tournaments do not run. If you have registered for a tournament which we cancel you will be refunded the total cost plus any entry fee.

If we cancel a tournament after it has begun, we will follow the following guidelines:

Players eliminated before cancellation: no refunds

Players who were still in the tournament when it was cancelled:

Before players reach the prize money:

  Buy-in and entry fee refund.

50%  of the remaining prize pool shared equally among all of the players.

50% distributed according to chip stacks.

When players reach the prize money:

All players receive the prize associated with the number of players that remain in the tournament. For example there were 8 players left when the event cancelled: all players receive 8th place prize.

Remaining prize pool is distributed according to chip stacks.

Behaviour

Just Behave!

Collusion will be punished. You will be excluded from all games. Keep our poker room clean and fair.
Treat others the way you like to be treated.
Keep the chat clean and friendly. You may find you lose your rights otherwise.
Online poker is a fast moving environment, let’s keep it that way and avoid slow play.
Do not promote other card rooms or entice away players. You may get banned!
Fixed Limit Disconnection Rules

Should a player lose the connection to the Internet (disconnect) and fail to regain connection again before time runs out to complete his turn, he may 'disconnect protection'. In this case, the hand will be treated as all-in. If that happens, the player cannot make further bets during this round, nor can he win any more money from his opponents than is already in the pot.

To receive 'disconnect protection', the player must be on a real money limit cash-game table and 'disconnect protection' must be available on his account. If a 'disconnect protection' is used, it is deducted from his account. A player can receive more 'disconnect protections' by applying in the %%CASINO_NAME%% lobby, or by contacting the support team. Please note that %%CASINO_NAME%% reserves the right to restrict these at its own discretion.
Shared Pots

Snap! You have the same hands; we’ll share the money between you!

Sometimes a pot can not be shared exactly down the middle; there’s an odd chip left. What happens to that?

Texas Hold'em and Omaha: The player who made the last bet on the river, or the player sitting to the left of the dealer if no river bets are made gets it.

Omaha Hi Lo: The winning Hi-Hand gets it.

7 Card Stud: The player who made the last bet or raise gets the odd chip.

Player Status

%%CASINO_NAME%% players are divided into different ranks. This player status rating determines the limits for each deposit, cashout and inter-account transfer. New players are automatically given an initial Bronze ranking. Limit increases will be applied according to the requirements below.

Ante, Blind and Limits

Every poker game starts with a mandatory minimum bet, so as to ensure that each hand is played. The two general mandatory bets are:

Ante:
Each player must place a certain amount before the start of each game. In 7 Card Stud the Ante must be placed.

Blind:
In games with community cards, there are usually two blinds - the Small Blind and Big Blind. The value of the Big Blind is set at the lower limit of the table and the Small Blind is generally half the Big Blind. In most games, the player to the left of the dealer button is the Small Blind, and the next player is the Big Blind. These blinds are counted as the first betting round and are considered as "live", which means the player can increase (raise) the amount, even if that no other player has chosen to do so.

In heads-up tables the dealer pays the small blind and his opponent pays the big blind. The player with the dealer button makes the first move before the flop, but in the following rounds, he is following his opponent's turn.

Limits

In limit games, the lower limit is for the first two betting rounds, and then comes the higher limit. 7 Card Stud is the only exception. If any player after Fourth Street shows a pair, then the higher limit is used.
